SHOT Show 2027: Dates, What to Expect and What's Likely on Display
Every January, the American firearms industry heads to Las Vegas, and the new guns, optics and gear for the year ahead come with it. Here's what we know about SHOT Show 2027 and what we're watching.

What to expect
SHOT is where much of the industry launches the next year's lineup. In 2026 a large share of the releases we track were announced in January, timed to the show. Expect the same in 2027: new handguns, rifles, shotguns, suppressors, optics, thermal and night vision, all on one floor. With the $0 NFA tax and ATF's October 2026 change on registration enforcement (see NFA updates), suppressors and short-barreled rifles are worth watching closely.
We'll track every SHOT 2027 announcement from the day it's revealed to the day it actually ships.

Who can attend
SHOT Show is organized by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the firearm industry's trade association. It's a trade-only event, not a consumer show: attendees must show proof of professional affiliation, such as a retailer, distributor, manufacturer, law enforcement buyer or qualified media. Photo ID is required. If you aren't in the industry, the best way to follow the show is through coverage like ours.
Looking back: SHOT Show 2026
SHOT Show 2026 ran January 20-23, 2026, at The Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum. Of the 128 products we track, 77 were announced in January 2026, timed to the show. That's why January is the busiest month of the year for new gun releases. Many of those products are still working their way from announcement to shelves. Browse every new gun of 2026 to see where each one stands.
How we'll cover SHOT 2027
When announcements start landing, we'll add each product with its maker source, MSRP and announce date, then track it until it ships. The Gun Release Report will round up the week's biggest launches every Friday.

Hotels
SHOT Show's headquarters hotel reservations line is (866) 659-9643 in the U.S.; all other official hotels book through 1 (800) 388 8104. The show spans the Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum, so the hotels between them are the most convenient. Heads up: SHOT Show notes that most Las Vegas resorts have a longstanding policy of not permitting firearms, so check your hotel's policy. Details on the official hotel and travel page.
